23.11.2008 - Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum Rewrites the Show’s Record Books: Double and Triple for the World No. 1
(mps) Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (Germany) has done the double: after winning the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER on Friday evening, she was also victorious in the ROLEX FEI WORLD CUP JUMPINGTM, the Grand Prix of Stuttgart – presented by Mercedes-Benz and the BW-Bank –, at the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show on Sunday afternoon. She was rewarded with a Mercedes-Benz ML 280 worth 50,000 euro. The first rider to win both the premium competitions in the same year was the Briton John Whitaker in 1988. mehr

(mps) Isabell Werth impressively underlined her status in the dressage world at the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show. Riding her 14-year-old Hanoverian Satchmo, the German, who is second (with Satchmo) and third (with Warum Nicht FRH) in the world rankings, secured the victory in the Grand Prix Special for the Prize of the MEGGLE Group in the Hanns Martin Schleyer Halle on Sunday morning. mehr
23.11.2008 - Win No. 3 for Isabell Werth: “Perfect Harmony”
(mps) “The interplay with the music was perfect and the timing was spot on.” Isabell Werth (Germany) was beaming all over her face after bringing the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show to the boil in the Hanns Martin Schleyer Halle on Saturday. The 7,900 crowd witnessed a memorable Grand Prix freestyle performance in the competition for the Prize of the NÜRNBERGER VERSICHERUNGSGRUPPE, which was staged for the first time in the evening session. The five-time Olympic Champion and her 12-year-old gelding Warum Nicht FRH put on a display of the highest order, which was honoured by the judges awarding them 81.100 per cent. Starting last, the German had to beat the 79.050 per cent mark set by the Finn Kyra Kyrklund on Max if she was to take the victory and the 6,200 euro purse. “I’m really pleased with my Hannes’ display,” said a happy Isabell Werth, “and we’re really proud we able to enthral the primetime crowd.” mehr

(mps) A new chapter in the history of driving in the Hanns Martin Schleyer Halle began in 2007. Right from the very start of the competition, there had only been one winner of the GERMAN MASTER in driving: Michael Freund. The exceptional driver dominated the four-in-hand discipline until 2006. After Freund retired from competitive sport, a new name appeared in the winners’ list in 2007: Ijsbrand Chardon. But he was not able to retain his title this year as Jozsef Dobrovitz, who qualified in second place for the decisive round, completed the course fault-free in 232.49 seconds. mehr
22.11.2008 - “Old Master” Roger-Yves Bost wins the Knock-out Competition for the Prize of the XXL Sicherheit Group
(mps) A thrilling event: once again there was a great atmosphere in the Hanns Martin Schleyer Halle for the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show’s knock-out competition for the Prize of the XXL-Sicherheit Group. Sixteen riders saddled their horses for the direct rider against rider contests over two identical courses and to the catchy music deejayed by the witty Stefan Krawczyk and Christian Graf von Plettenberg. mehr
22.11.2008 - Isabell Werth has a Successful Start to the Special Tour when Winning the Grand Prix for the Prize of the Stihl Group
(mps) She was already successful when riding Warum Nicht FRH to victory in the freestyle series Grand Prix on Friday, and then on Saturday morning the five-time Olympic, six-time World and 13-time European Champion Isabell Werth triumphed on her 14-year-old gelding Satchmo in the Grand Prix for the Prize of the Stihl Group. The duo were awarded 77.375 per cent by the judges and the win underlined their title ambitions for coming Sunday’s Prize of the MEGGLE Group, the GERMAN MASTER. mehr
22.11.2008 - Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum’s First MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER
(mps) Riders wanting a starting place for the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER, the second major competition at the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show have to first compete against the jumping world’s crème de la crème in two qualifying events. Only the top twelve – or the top 13 this year as two were equal on points – in the preliminary competitions were given the chance to compete against one another in front of a 5,500 crowd in the well-filled Hanns Martin Schleyer Halle on Friday evening. The show down to find the “best of the best” was eventually won by Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (Germany), whose efforts were richly rewarded with a brand new Mercedes-Benz GLK 280. mehr
