21.11.2008 - Marion Engelen Prevails in the Final of the “Piaff Förderpreis”

(mps) The winner of the 2008 Piaff-Förderpreis goes by the name of Marion Engelen. The finals of the competition for promising young German dressage riders was staged for the eighth time in the Hanns Martin Schleyer Halle at the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show. Riding the eight-year-old gelding Diego, the favourite going into the competition lived up to expectations and was awarded an excellent 71.458 per cent by the international judges.  mehr

21.11.2008 - Combined Horse Show and Public Transport Ticket: U11 Tram Runs Every 15 Minutes

(mps) Stuttgart’s public transport company, the VVS, recommends everybody to use the busses, trams and so-called “S-Bahn” trains for their journeys to and from the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show from 19 through 23 November 2008. The combined horse show and public transport tickets are valid on all forms of public transport within the area covered by the VVS.  mehr

(mps) Isabell Werth made the perfect start to her campaign at the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show. Riding her 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding Warum Nicht FRH, (or “Why Not FRH in English), the five-time Olympic, six-time world and 13-time European champion won the Grand Prix for the Prize of the “Ingenieurbüro Hauser” on Friday morning.  mehr

21.11.2008 - MASTER Qualification Beckons: Meyer Winner of the Stuttgarter Hofbräu Jump Against the Clock

(mps) The twelve starting places for the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER are much coveted. Janne-Friederike Meyer now has the best chances of qualifying for one of them. The German lady rider went clear on her gelding Cellagon Lambrasco in 62.53 seconds to win the Prize of the Stuttgarter Hofbräu AG on Thursday evening.  mehr

20.11.2008 - Timo Beck Wins BW-Bank Indoor Championship for a Third Time

(mps) All good things come in threes: Timo Beck (Germany) took top place in the final of the BW-Bank Indoor Championship on Thursday evening. Having already won the crown in 2000 and 2002, the 31-year-old triumphed for the third time in the unofficial state indoor championships hosted by the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show.  mehr

20.11.2008 - Julia Ellsässer Secures iWEST Dressage Cup

(mps) The last are the first – this also came true at the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS for Julia Ellsässer (Germany). Riding her 12-year-old gelding Rossini Grande, she was the last to enter the arena in the final of the iWEST Dressage Cup, the federal state of Baden Württemberg’s unofficial indoor championships, and finished first after being awarded 70,300 per cent by the judges.  mehr

20.11.2008 - Roger-Yves Bost and Philipp Weishaupt Win Opening Jumping Competition for the Prize of the Bardusch GmbH Textil-Mietdienste

(mps) The highly experienced Frenchman, Roger-Yves Bost, had an excellent start to his campaign at the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show. Riding his 10-year-old mare Kire Royal Star, he went clear in 54.36 seconds in the opening jumping event for foreign riders to win the Prize of the Bardusch GmbH Textil-Mietdienste and the 1,250 euro prize money that went with it.  mehr

20.11.2008 - Michael Jung wins the Ensinger Mineral-Heilquellen Indoor Derby Eventing Competition for the Third Time

(mps) The winner of the Ensinger Mineral-Heilquellen Indoor Derby at the 24th International Horse Show STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS goes by the name of Michael Jung (Germany). Riding his eight-year-old gelding in front of a highly enthusiastic 8,200 crowd, he ran out a relatively comfortable winner after going clear in a time of 85.70 seconds. Entering the ring as the penultimate rider, Michael Jung raced around the course to win the event for the third time. His previous wins came in 2005 and 2007. The 26-year-old was rewarded with prize money totalling 2000 euro.  mehr
