Hans-Dieter Dreher and European champion Roger-Yves Bost win the opening jumping classes for the Prize of Bardusch

German Hans-Dieter Dreher (41) captured the win in the opening jumping class, the Prize of the Bardusch GmbH & Co. KG Textil-Mietdienste, at the STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS on Thursday. Aboard Colore, an 11-year old Holstein stallion, the Baden-Württemberg rider went clear in 54.56 seconds. In second place was Maurice Tebbel (Germany) in the saddle on the Westphalia mare Lara Levista (0/55.07) followed by eventing Olympic champion Michael Jung. The crowd favourite from nearby Horb rode the 12-year old Trakehner stallion Der Dürer TSF (0/57.30) which, on Wednesday, had carried him to victory in the Jump and Drive and a new Mercedes-Benz car.

The following opening jumping competition for foreign riders – also for the Prize of the Bardusch GmbH & Co. KG Textil-Mietdienste – was won by European champion Roger-Yves Bost. Riding Castle Forbes Vivaldo vh Coste, a 15-year old stallion, “Bosty” left all the fences standing when finishing in a time of 51.73 seconds. The Frenchman relegated Belgians Constant Van Paesschen and Pieter Devos to second and third respectively. Van Paesschen and his mare Ralphy Utopia de Ransbeck (0/52.57) were well ahead of Devos on his 10-year old mare Stute Darca van de VDG Consults. The pairing finished over three seconds down in 0/55.92.
