Victory in second MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER qualifying class goes to Frenchman Patrice Delaveau

Stuttgart – Patrice Delaveau (France) won the Prize of the DIW Instandhaltung Ltd. & Co. KG – the second qualifying competition for the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER late in the evening. Riding Carinjo HDC in front of a 6,400 crowd in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle – the afternoon session attracted 3,100 equestrian fans for the two dressage classes and one jumping competition – he crossed the finishing line clear in 65.10 seconds. The Frenchman therefore placed ahead of Brazilian Rodrigo Pessoa, who saddled HH Let’s Fly (0/65.43). Third was Pius Schwizer (Switzerland) and Picsou du Chene (0/65.70) and one place behind was Delaveau’s countrywoman Eugenie Angeot on Old Chap Tame (0/65.88). The best-placed German was Ludger Beerbaum in fifth on Zinedine (0/66.18).

In addition to the five above mentioned, the other riders to qualify for Friday’s highlight are Christian Ahlmann (Germany), Laura Kraut (USA), Mario Stevens (Germany), Ramzy Alduhami (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Michael Whitaker (Great Britain, Hans-Dieter Dreher (Germany) and Marcus Ehning (Germany). Only the top 12 in the two qualifying classes gain a berth in the line-up for the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER.
