Sabine Klenk and Friedolin win the final of the iWEST Dressage Cup 2017

Stuttgart – She had a massive smile on her face and it was not going to go away: Sabine Klenk, the 38-year old riding instructor from nearby Ludwigsburg. Saddled on her eight-year old Oldenburg gelding Friedolin, she won the final for the iWest Dressage Cup at the 33rd International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show on Thursday.

Competing in the intermediate I freestyle class, the pair was awarded 74.700 percent points to hand them the win ahead of Ann-Kathrin Lindner and Sunfire, an eight-year old stallion bred in Baden Württemberg – they were given 71.925 points.

“The class in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle is the event of the year for us and the iWest Cup is a big opportunity,” said the delighted winner. “The top three horses have, aged only eight, all shown their distinct quality.”

Gerhard Meyer, owner and CEO of the series sponsor iWEST, congratulated the winner and announced that he, after 31 years, will continue to support the series.
