MASTER participation within reach: Luciana Diniz wins the Stuttgarter Hofbräu Against the clock class

(mps) Luciana Diniz, the native Brazil, who is starting for Portugal and lives close to Osnabrück (Germany) has a very good chance to receive one of the highly wanted 12 starting places in the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER on Friday. On Dover, the already 18-year old stallion, the 37-year old won the Stuttgarter Hofbräu Against the clock class, the first of two qualifiers for the second main show-jumping class at the international STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS show.

In 65.11 seconds, the pair managed the course in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in a clear round and slightly outpaced the other 46 top riders. With 5.000 Euro, she was already highly remunerated for this success. However, she can be happier about the fact that she has the best chances – with 47 points in the qualifier ranking for the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER – to complete her triumph in the show highlight. Eugenie Angot, the Frenchwoman, and Ilostra Dark, her 11-year old mare, was the fifth rider to enter the arena. And her clear round in 65.35 seconds was the benchmark for quite a long time. Only Diniz was finally capable to achieve a better time and, thus, to send off her competitor to the second place. Leon Thijssen, the Dutchman, and Nairobi became third. They managed the course in a clear round in 66.97 seconds.
