MASTER Qualification Beckons: Meyer Winner of the Stuttgarter Hofbräu Jump Against the Clock

(mps) The twelve starting places for the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER are much coveted. Janne-Friederike Meyer now has the best chances of qualifying for one of them. The German lady rider went clear on her gelding Cellagon Lambrasco in 62.53 seconds to win the Prize of the Stuttgarter Hofbräu AG on Thursday evening.

The jump against the clock competition is the first of two qualifying events for the second main jumping competition at the 24th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show. With 5,000 euro now in her pocket, it means Janne-Friederike Meyer has already been handsomely rewarded for her efforts. Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (Germany) on Shutterfly also put in a faultless round but she finished exactly one second down on Meyer’s winning time in 63.53. Her second place earned her 4,000 euro. One place behind Michaels-Beerbaum was the Italian Emilio Bicocchi on his Hanoverian Jeckerson Kapitol d’Argonne. The pair completed the demanding course in 63.61 without knocking a fence down.
