BW-Tour: Hans-Dieter Dreher wins opening class

Stuttgart – The first rider to go, Armin Schäfer jr. atop Manhattan Blue, immediately posted a clear round in the opening class for the Prize of Schmidt Sporthandschuhe GmbH, a jumping competition for riders from the federal state of Baden-Württemberg. He however did not remain in the lead for long as Hans-Dieter Dreher and his Hanoverian gelding Prinz were much quicker shortly afterwards. A clear round in 62.70 seconds handed the World Cup rider Dreher first place in the Class S* competition over the 14-jump course.

In third behind second-placed Armin Schäfer jr, who went clear on the first day of the 36th STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS in a time of 64.53 seconds, was Günter Treiber on the 12-year-old Holstein gelding Curtis JS (0/66.27).

In the final junior class for the NÜRNBERGER Burg-Pokal, the 12-year-old youngster Maximiliane Fimpel, who only qualified for the final in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle at the very last moment after Fabian Beck was forced to pull out, left the whole field trailing behind her when going clear on her gelding Pivot des coeurs both in the first round and in the jump-off. Her time of 37.67 seconds was not bettered. She duly became the youngest ever winner of the NÜRNBERGER Burg-Pokal.

Second was one of the three young men in the starting line-up. Riding his 10-year-old gelding Balou’s Belissimo, Thierri Wagner was also faultless in the jump-off (41.34 seconds). He was followed by Luisa Kölz on Quintino (0/41.53) who came third in the seven-class qualifying series in summer.
