Convincing premiere with three World Cup classes –

Stuttgart – The 28th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show has set new standards with its three World Cup classes in jumping, driving and dressage. “It was a premiere in the horse show’s almost 30-year history and it certainly was a first,” said Andreas Kroll, CEO of the in.Stuttgart Veranstaltungsgesellschaft mbh, at the Closing Press Conference. “It’s all been very enjoyable and the atmosphere in the arena was simply grandiose.” The spectators cheered on the riders and were thrilled by the performances of the London Olympic Champions and the many other medal winners. But there were also new, young and fresh faces to be seen here in Stuttgart – one of them was Jessica Springsteen. “She left a lasting impression with her charming and open manner and her rides,” said Kroll.

A total of almost 61,000 spectators came along to the horse show. “It means we’ve achieved our target and we’re again over the magical 60,000 threshold.” Andreas Kroll feels there is a rosy future ahead. “In two years time we’ll be celebrating our 30th jubilee and we’ll be thinking up a few innovations for 2014.” The organisers are already playing around with a number of ideas and according to horse show director Gotthilf Riexinger could also lead to, “Stuttgart becoming the first horse show with five World Cup classes.” Another thought involves the highly popular eventing riders who previously were only to be seen on the opening evening. The idea is for them to be further integrated in the horse show but to do so the infrastructure will have to be adapted.

Also delighted with the course of the horse show were the main sponsors of this year’s STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS. Manfred Rube, spokesman of the BW-Bank: “For us it was a very successful event and our 5,000 and more guests were all excited by what hey had seen.” BW-Bank’s bond with the STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS is very strong. The bank helped launch the horse show via its predecessor, the Landesgirokasse, and the BW-Bank Indoor Championship offers the region’s riders the chance to compete in their own series which has become highly attractive.

Wolfgang Walter, CEO of WALTER konzept, thanked, as did Manfred Rube, the organisers for a job well-done. “It was fantastic and the three World Cups were simply outstanding.” The horse show in Stuttgart is the perfect platform for his company. “We’ve seen top equestrian sport and the eventing on Wednesday totally thrilled the customers we invited to Walter solar-evening.”
