The 29th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show has once again set standards – with world class performances, a grandiose atmosphere, a perfect organisation and unique show numbers involving four legged-friends both big and small. Speaking at the Closing Press Conferences held just before Sunday’s highlight, the Longines FEI World Cup JumpingTM Grand Prix of Stuttgart – presented by MERCEDES-BENZ, WALTER solar and the BW-BANK – both the organisers and the main sponsors expressed their deep satisfaction at the way everything had gone. Andreas Kroll, CEO of the in.Stuttgart Veranstaltungsgesellschaft: “The five days of the horse show were simply fantastic with outstanding sporting highlights, like Helene Langehanenberg’s record in the World Cup dressage or the surprising winner Abdelkebir Ouaddar form Morocco. We enjoyed fantastic equestrianism. It was worthy of a five-star horse show with four World Cups. It’s how everything should be.” After Sunday’s Grand Prix and World Cup class, the attendance will total almost 62,000. Kroll: “The organising team has worked tremendously. After the Grand Prix we’ll begin with the preparations for our 30th horse show in the coming year which will be a quite special one.”
Also delighted by the STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS was Stefan Schütz, Director of Group Marketing at LBBW: “For us the horse show is of special importance. As one of its godfathers, we’ve been involved in it for every one of its 29 years. That’s something one can’t take for granted these days.”
Five thousand of the bank’s customers have visited the horse show they, according to Schütz, “enjoyed a great show, especially on Thursday, the Baden-Württemberg day.” The BW-Bank will again be involved in the 30th STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS as a partner as will WALTER konzept. For CEO Wolfgang Walter, the horse show is “a perfect platform with a wonderful atmosphere and an absolutely fantastic crowd. It’s marvellous being a part of it. I’m already looking forward to the anniversary edition.” As Wolfgang Walter stressed, the company also has a big interest in staging a qualifying horse show for the BW-Bank Cup: “We’ve made an application and talks are going well.”
In the view of Horse Show Director Gotthilf Riexinger, the 29th edition of the horse show was, as far the sporting aspect is concerned, outstanding. “We saw a sensational win by a nobody and world class performances of the highest order. Respect goes out to the spectators for the way they honoured and reacted to the performances.” When thanking all the helpers, he also included the main and co sponsors who, in the many conversations, have been very positive about the five days of the show and the outstanding performances.
The 30th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show will take place from 19 to 23 November 2014.
