(mps) With an obvious victory, Isabell Werth from Rheinberg has started into the dressage competitions at the 23rd international STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS show and, thus, impressively underlined her favourites’ role at the indoor show in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle. Riding Wallach Warum nicht FRH, the 11-year old Hanoverian gelding, the quadruple Olympic winner, six times world and 12 times European champion impressively won the Grand Prix for the Preis des Ingenieurbüro Hauser und der Familie Winter-Schulze on Friday morning.
The international judges decided that the pair’s performance was worth 76.333 per cent, simply one class better than their competitors. Alexandra Korelova, the Russian and eleventh of the world ranking list, came closest to Werth, who received 2.500 Euro for her victory. She rode Balagur, the white 17-year old stallion and received 70.75 per cent and relegated Victoria Max-Theurer, who is six positions behind her on the FEI ranking list, to the third place. The Austrian rode Falcao OLD and received and 70.333 per cent.
