(acm/mps) The International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show holds a special place in her biography. Isabell Werth (Germany) has celebrated great achievements here over the years – such as the Grand Prix world record last year – and has experienced deeply moving moments – such as the farewell to her legendary Gigolo in 2000.
And the 37-year-old was again in the spotlight at the 22nd edition of the show in the state capital. Riding her twelve-year-old Hanoverian stallion upon which she won gold medals in both the individual and team events at the World Championships in Aachen, Werth dominated the Prize of Stihl AG & Co – the Grand Prix to the Special Tour – on Saturday morning. 1,909 points or 79.542 per cent respectively were awarded by the judges for the World Champion pair’s display. It was a mark her opponents did not even get the slightest bit close to. Second place was secured by Ellen Schulten-Baumer (Germany), who was given 73.292 per cent (1,759 points) on Lesotho. Behind her in third was local girl Karen Tebar, who rides for France, with 71.958 per cent (1,727).
