Jos Verlooy and Marie Schulze Topphoff win the two jumping classes for the Prize of Bardusch

Stuttgart – On Thursday afternoon at the 37th International STIUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show, three women riders took the top three placings in the opening jumping class for the Prize of Bardusch GmbH & Co. KG Textil-Mietdienste. The win was surprisingly secured by the last to go as the 27-year-old German Marie Schulze Topphoff left all the fences standing when clocking of 63.17 seconds. It meant she managed to relegate Finland’s Noora Pentti on Con Caya (0/63.58), the long-time leaders, and compatriot Teike Carstensen on her Holstein mare Gasira (0/65.20) into second and third respectively. The top male rider was Johannes Ehning (Germany) in fourth on Classic Donna (0/65.26).

Later, the Belgian Jos Verlooy and his 13-year-old gelding Fts Killossery Konfusion won the two-phase jumping class, also for the Prize of Bardusch GmbH & Co. KG Textil-Mietdienste, In phase 2, the pair proved to be the quickest when going clear in 28.38 seconds. One place behind was Tim Rieskamp-Goedeking (Germany) in the saddle on the 11-year-old Westphalian mare Pepina G (0/28.51). Third was the Irishwoman Jessica Burke atop the KWPN mare Inpulss (0/28.66).
