The BW-Bank Indoor Championship goes to Marian Müller

Stuttgart – The 25-year old Marian Müller left the whole of the Baden-Württemberg jumping elite trailing in his wake when winning the final of the BW-Bank Indoor Championships. After placing 14th in the qualifying series, the local rider set the time to beat in the 11-rider jump-off, and none of his rivals got close to impoving it.

In the final class of the day at the 35th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS in front of a 6,300 crowd, his clear round atop the 11-year old grey stallion Albführen’s Coupe de Alb in 34.77 seconds was simply too good for everybody else. The ride handed the youngster, a trained stud manager at the “Hofgut Albführen” complex, the unofficial Baden-Württemberg championship under the roof.

“After the first two obstacles in the jump-off, I noticed my horse was pulling nicely, so I decided to attack,” said Marian Müller when revealing his tactics. “It was a wow evening,” said the delighted Kai Huttrop-Hage, one of the horse show’s three directors. He is also the managing director of the Hofgut Albführen stables, and therefore the winner’s boss.

Johannes Marten, Director of Communications at the LBBW bank, congratulated the winner on his “spectacular ride” and was visibly pleased with the way the evening had gone. He called it “an excellent platform for the guests of the BW-Bank.”
