Belgian Rik Hemeryck takes Prize of XXL-Sicherheit

Stuttgart – Belgium ahead of Germany and Sweden – the result of the speed jumping for the Prize of XXL-Sicherheit on Thursday evening, the first qualifier for the STUTTGART GERMAN MASTER tomorrow (22.00 hrs), impressively demonstrated the internationality of the starting line-up. Thirty-nine riding aces had entered for the class at the 39th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show and in the end it was the Belgian Rik Hemeryck on the 12-year-old gelding Navarro van het Eelshof that took the honours. The pair left all the jumps standing when finishing in 61.06 seconds and the performance duly earned them prize money totalling 7,125 euro.

Germany’s reigning European champion Richard Vogel and his ten-year-old stallion Phenyo van het Keysersbos stopped the clock without incurring any faults in 61.39 seconds and took home 5,700 Euro. Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (Portugal) and Karonia.L, a ten-year-old KWPN mare, came third (61.59) followed by the team Olympic champion from Tokyo Peder Fredcricson (SWE) with the 11-year-old gelding SV Vroom de la Pomme Z (62.16).

Only the 12 best in today’s class and the second qualifier on Friday (17.00 hrs) for the Prize of Outletcity Metzingen then go through tomorrow evening to the STUTTGART GERMAN MASTER – presented by DVAG. The competition comes with a purse of 105,500 euro. The second most important jumping class in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle was won in 2024 by the Swiss Steve Guerdat on Dynamix de Belheme. He also claimed the Grand Prix of Stuttgart with BW-Bank and Walter solar in 2017.
