German champion wins first MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER qualifying class for the Prize of XXL-Sicherheit

Stuttgart – Late on Thursday evening, the German champion Simone Blum won the speed jumping for the Prize of XXL-Sicherheit at the 33rd International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle. It was the first of two qualifying classes for the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER on Friday.

The 28-year old, who originally competed as an eventer, saddled the mare DSP Alice to leave all the fences standing in a time of 57.07 seconds. Over two seconds down was second-placed Christian Ahlmann (Germany) and his stallion Colorit who stopped the clock at 59.27 seconds. Twelve hundredths slower in third was the Italian Alberto Zorzi on Danique (59.39).

The second qualifying class for the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER, the second most important jumping competition at the equestrian highlight in Stuttgart is the Prize of EASY TICKET SERVICE at 5.15 pm local time on Friday. Only the 12 best riders from the two qualifying events earn the right to contest the MERCEDES GERMAN MASTER in the evening at 10:15.
