Stuttgart – Hendrik Lochthowe from Munich today won the final of the iWest Dressage Cup for the second time after 2012. Riding Meggle’s FS Lennox Louis, he repeated his win in the preliminary class on Wednesday and was awarded 74.525 points by the jury. Last year’s runner-up travelled to Stuttgart as the leader of the series for south German riders after the four qualifying competitions. ”I’m delighted my horse was able to come to terms with the atmosphere in the hall. The freestyle, which I had only performed once up to the class, went really well,” said the jubilant victor. In second place was Vivien Niemann on Sil Jander (72.075) ahead of Aileen Day in the saddle on Destino D (72.025).

A highly pleased Gerhard Meyer, owner and CEO of the cup sponsor iWEST, congratulated the winner and said: “With a score of 74 points, the series has taken on a new level in its eleventh year.” And Horse Show Director, Gotthilf Riexinger added, “We’re very pleased that the iWEST Dressage will continue next year.”

A total of 2,700 spectators followed the dressage class for the Prize of the Liselott Schindling Stiftung – Piaff-Förderpreis, the two opening jumping classes for domestic and foreign riders and the final of iWest Dressage Cup during Thursday’s day session at the 30th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle.
