Riding in front of a 5,500 crowd, Tobias Schwarz left a strong field trailing in his wake on his 13-year old Holstein mare La Belle when winning the Prize of Schmidt Sporthandschuhe GmbH. A clear round in 58.92 seconds left the local rider almost a second to the good of Markus Kölz (59.90) and Tina Deuerer (60.59). The reigning indoor champion and leader after four qualifying classes in summer, Andy Witzemann came fourth on Cassadero (60.89).
His pupil Victoria Hoffmeister however outdid him. In the saddle on Mori’s Casalla, a Holstein mare, she won the NÜRNBERGER Burg Cup style jumping class for juniors after two clear rounds. Though her time of 36.35 was bettered in the jump-off by Jonas Faller (32.72) and Anastasia Wetzstein (36.18), they both had four faults to hand the win to the daughter of the Baden Württemberg Minister of Economic Affairs.
The horse show’s first competition produced a narrow victory in the S-Dressage Intermediate I for the Prize of Firma iWEST for Louisa Fuchs in the saddle on her 11-year old gelding Sympathikus. 71.026 percent points was just enough to keep Ann-Kathrin Lindner on Sunfire (70.895) and Markus Schetter (69.079) at bay.
