“That was pretty tense in the end,” said the over-the-moon winner of the BW-Bank Indoor Championship – the unofficial Baden Württemberg state championship under the roof. Last but one to go in the nine-rider jump-off, the local rider raced around the course in the saddle on Cassadero, a nine-year old Hanoverian gelding, to post a clear round in 34.30 seconds. It was four hundredths quicker than second placed Tina Deuerer and her gelding Smint (0/34.71). In third in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle was the six-time indoor champion Timo Beck on Cento du Rouet (0/35.41).
“That was once again top-class sport,” said an excited Ralf Ingelfinger, Public Relations Team Leader at the BW-Bank, when summing up. “We’ve been sponsoring the event for the past 33 years and the second generation of riders are now taking part.” Kai Huttrop-Hage, one of the three horse show directors, thanked the BW-Bank for the “good support during the whole year.”
Winner Andy Witzemann has enjoyed “two fantastic days and I’m so happy to have won here again. Cassadero is a wonderfully talented young horse with bags of quality and potential also for the Grand Tour.”
