It was therefore no big surprise that she claimed victory in the final of the iWEST Dressage Cup, an Intermediaire I freestyle on Thursday. Riding her 19-year-old gelding Baron, she performed brilliantly and was awarded77.450 per cent.
“We’re gonna celebrate this evening. It’s an unbelievable feeling,” said the overjoyed winner. “Stuttgart is the highlight of our season. “She praised her horse, saying, “Baron was in such good shape. It’s so much fun riding him. Our ride couldn’t have been any better.”
In second was Moritz Treffinger on Vincero, a ten-year-old Oldenburger (75.250) ahead of Romina Nieberle in the saddle on the 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding Free Willy (74.275).
Holger Schulze, Competition Director of the iWEST Dressage Cup was thrilled by “the incredible strength in depth amongst the competitors” before continuing, “The standard has never been so high.” iWEST CEO Matthias Meyer commented: “It was a super final. Now we’re looking forward to next year and the 25thanniversary.” Qualifying classes will take place in Karlsfeld, Winterlingen, Birkhof, Gut Ising and in Waghäusel-Wiesental.
