Tim Hoster: easy win in Prize of Bardusch

Stuttgart – Germany ahead of Switzerland, Belgium and Spain – the 38th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show’s opening jumping class on Thursday for the Prize of Bardusch with a total of 39 starters could have not documented the internationality of the field any better. Riding in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, German Tim Hoster was visibly happy when receiving the Golden Rosette. After going clear, the 34-year-old in the saddle on the ten-year-old stallion Cirro crossed the finishing line in a time of 61.12 seconds which was over two seconds quicker than Adrian Schmid.

Also faultless, the Swiss on Chicharito, an 11-year-old Holstein gelding, however took 63.90 seconds. In third was the 2019 team European champion and 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games bronze medallist with the Belgian equipe, Pieter Devos who was atop the 15-year-old mare Jade vd Bisschop (0/64.55). Further down in fourth was Spain’s Mariano Martinez Bastida with the ten-year-old stallion Origi van’t Geyzeven (65.30). Just behind was the local hero, Michael Jung. The four-time eventing Olympic champion left all the fences standing on the Hanoverian gelding Qwatt, but needed 65.94 seconds.

“I’ve only had Cirro a few weeks and am therefore all the happier with the win in such a jumping class in Stuttgart,” said the delighted rider who is based in the region.
