Stuttgart – As the second Swiss after Christine Stückelberger, who won the dressage freestyle in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in 1986, Charlotta Rogerson (27) secured the victory in the Grand Prix Special for the Prize of Stihl in the saddle on the 13-year-old KWPN gelding Bonheur de la Vie on the final day of the 39th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show. A personal best of 72.447 per cent enabled her to keep the runner-up Marieke van der Putten, who received 71.468 per cent, at bay. “It’s my first indoor show with him. Bonheur is a real showman. He loves the indoor atmosphere and thrives on it.”
The second-placed Dutchwoman, fifth yesterday behind the Swiss Charlotta Rogerson in the Prize of the Liselott and Klaus Rheinberger Stiftung, was again in the saddle on the 13-year-old gelding Titanium RS2 for the DRESSAGE GERMAN MASTER class.
Thrilled by the performance of his 16-year-old Oldenburg stallion Fiderdance, Germany’s Moritz Treffinger came third after being given 71.362 per cent. “I’m more than satisfied. I didn’t expect things to go so well and that I’d be in with a chance of winning,” he raved. “For me it was a unique experience, riding at home in front of a home crowd.”
