Jessica von Bredow-Werndl secures dressage World Cup freestyle ahead of Raphael Netz and Patrik Kittel

Stuttgart – Watched on by a capacity 8,000 crowd in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle on Saturday evening, the four-time Olympic champion, world champion and European champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl (Germany) won the World Cup freestyle class in convincing fashion. Riding her ten-year-old Hanoverian gelding Diallo BB, she was awarded 83.095 per cent by the international jury. In addition to the golden sash, the 39-year-old earned a purse totalling 12,550 euro. On Friday evening, the couple kicked off their campaign at the 39th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS by winning the Grand Prix for the Prize of Abelein Event Service.


“The people in the arena were so kind, and it was very electric,” said the victor. “Diallo was very relaxed, powerful and focussed today. I’m very proud of him.”

Awarded 80.765 per cent, German Raphael Netz came second on the 14-year-old Dutch bred gelding Great Escape Camelot and was rewarded with 9,050-euro prize money. “I really enjoyed my ride. I can always count on Camelot.”

Third was the 49-year-old Swede Patrik Kittel and his 13-year-old gelding Touchdown (79.620) – they took home 7,050 euro. “Stuttgart is unbelievable. There are not many arenas like it. What also makes it so special is that there were so many kids, and they are the future of our sport.”

The latest 2025/2026 Dressage World CupTM standings – after three shows in Herning, Lyon, Stuttgart – are headed by Raphael Netz on 48 points ahead of Fie Christine Skarsoe (Luxembourg/37), Alexa Fairchild (Belgium/35) and Patrik Kittel (Sweden/32). Moritz Treffinger is lying equal 13th on 20 points together with Anu Sironen (Finland), Carina Scholz, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, Matthias Alexander Rath (all Germany) and five other riders.

During the day, 8,000 spectators also produced a fabulous atmosphere in the Schleyer-Halle when watching the dressage grand prix for the Prize of Liselott and Klaus Rheinberger Stiftung, the speed jumping for the Prize of Allianz in Baden-Württemberg and dias Gebäudemanagement, the four-in-hand World Cup class for the DRIVING GERMAN MASTER as well as the Ponies’ Trophy for the Prize of Ensinger Mineral-Heilquellen.
