Isabell Werth and her inexperienced young horse: win in the Prize of the Liselott and Klaus Rheinberger Stiftung

Stuttgart – “I’m 100 percent happy, with three exclamation marks,” said Isabell Werth when reviewing her performance. The world’s most successful rider who has already enjoyed numerous magnificent wins in the Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special and Freestyle classes in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle has also continued her winning run at the STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS this year.

After the Grand Prix success in the Freestyle Tour on Friday with Emilio, the German won the Prize of the Liselott and Klaus Rheinberger Stiftung on Saturday with her young horse, the 11-year-old Hanoverian mare Superb in the Grand Prix – Classical Tour with 73.435 percent. “It was only the seventh time she has competed and she’s a little green behind the ears,” said the delighted Tournament Ambassador, “if she continues to become more consistent, then she’ll have no weaknesses.”

Fellow German Sönke Rothenberger, 2016 team Olympic champion and team world (2018) and European champion (2017, 2019), scored 72.543 percent when coming second in the saddle on Matchball OLD, an 11-year-old black gelding. Dorothee Schneider on her 11-year-old Westphalian gelding Dayman followed in third place. The multiple gold medal winner with the German team at Olympic Games and world and European Championships received 72.261 percent from the jury. Local rider Jasmin Schaudt, the wife of the Olympic champion Martin Schaudt, finished fourth after scoring 71.326 percent with her 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding.
