Isabell Werth once again: easy win in Dressage Grand Prix for the Prize of Abelein Event Service

Stuttgart – Her winning streak in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle has continued: after her four successes in four starts last year, the world No. 1 Isabell Werth (Germany) has followed up by claiming the dressage Grand Prix for the Prize of the Abelein Event Service at the 33rd International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show on Friday. Riding her gold medal-winning horse Weihegold OLD, she outclassed the excellent international field when amassing 82.080 percent points. It means she has qualified for the FEI World Cup™ Dressage - Freestyle scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

“Today’s competition was the first for Weihegold since the European Championships in Gothenburg. She was a little over motivated but on the whole, I’m very satisfied with her,” said the multiple Olympic, world and European champion when reviewing her ride.

Fellow German Helen Langehanenberg, the Olympic silver medal winner in London in 2012, placed second in the saddle on the 15-year old Hanoverian stallion Dampsey FRH (76.060). Jessica von Bredow-Werndl (Gernmany) and her mare Zaire-E finished third with 74.740 percent points.
